Privacy policy
minimage resizes images in your browser. The image itself is never sent to us, and we have no way to keep a copy of it.
1. Who is responsible
The service is operated by minimage.in. Operator information is available on About and seller identity. You can reach us at the contact form.
2. Your images
When you choose a file, it is read into the memory of your own browser tab, decoded, resized and re-encoded there. Nothing is transmitted. There is no "upload" step, no server copy and no queue: if you close the tab, the working data is gone.
Every output is re-encoded from the decoded pixels, so camera and location details (EXIF, GPS), XMP, IPTC and embedded thumbnails are removed before you download. A retention option is not offered at all in this version, so metadata can never be kept by accident.
3. What we actually handle
| Category | Why | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| The image you choose | To resize it — in your browser only; never received by us | Not collected: it stays on your device |
| Your consent choice | To remember whether you allowed analytics, so we do not ask again | Consent (you can withdraw it at any time) |
| Grievance form submissions | Your contact details and description are sent through our website to a private Google Sheets register, to investigate your request and reply. Image files are never included. | You choose to submit the request and acknowledge how these details will be used. |
| Standard server logs | Security and abuse protection for the pages we serve | Legitimate interests: keeping the service up and safe |
Server logs never contain image content, image file names, image metadata or the results of your edits. They are limited to what is needed to serve pages and stop abuse.
4. Retention, per category
- Your image: not retained. It exists only in the memory of your tab, and is released when you close the page.
- Consent choice: kept in your browser's local storage until you change it or clear it; you can withdraw it from Cookies and preferences.
- Grievance records: Messages remain in our private Google Sheets register until the operator deletes them. The current service does not automatically delete register entries. You can request deletion using the contact form; we will review the request and explain any continuing need to retain the record. You can ask about access or deletion through the contact and grievance route.
- Server logs: The hosting provider processes connection and security data to deliver and protect the website. Retention depends on the provider's service and configured security settings. We do not write contact-form messages or image data to application logs.
5. Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow. It measures page visits with pseudonymous cookie identifiers, page titles, browser/device information and connection data processed by Google. Our page URLs omit query strings and fragments, and we do not supply referrer URLs, image content, file names, image metadata or contact-form details. Automatic form and download tracking, Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. The contact form page does not load Analytics. Refusing consent leaves the image tool fully usable. Manage or withdraw your choice on Cookies and preferences. Google may process data outside your country; see Google’s privacy policy.
Analytics cookies are configured to expire after 90 days without automatic renewal. Google Analytics retention settings govern stored reporting data; withdrawal stops future collection and removes accessible Analytics cookies, but does not itself delete data already processed by Google. Ask about deletion through our contact form. AdSense ownership verification is installed, but advertising scripts are not enabled while publisher setup and review are pending.
6. Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, erasure, or raise a grievance about how we handle your data — without an account and without cost. Because we hold no image data, most requests are about the small set of records described above. The route and the timelines are published on Contact and grievance.
7. Grievance officer
Use the contact form. The grievance route acknowledges a complaint within 7 days and completes it within 30 days, extendable once with notice to you.
8. Changes to this policy
The current version and date appear at the top of this page. When the text changes, the version and date at the top of this page change with it, and material changes are summarised here so you can see what moved. On 1 October 2026 we published the operator name supplied by the owner, retained the contact form as the contact and grievance route, and clarified how register and hosting-data retention work.
